A poem on migration

  • Dingy Shardsbeach waiter dwg by macd

Towering steps from the classics
the bending of golden boughs
child inverted/inevitable broken
Molten as wet bag of bones.

Drown in air name only unnamed
heads lolling shoulder high
stars black as night/white by day
slouching to speech thirsting for air.

Welcome migrants,
to white cane tick pathways
for souls in search of heaven
fingers pointing goal-ward home
the sport of anger/this daily bread
welcome to the exhausted tribe.
