The Poetry Point offers a variety of short courses focused on Poetry and Creative Writing. A new series of workshops have been developed over the last year using visual art and museum collections as inspirational starting points for both one day workshops and longer publication or exhibition based writing activities.

We have worked with yr 4/5’s through to yr 10’s, developing creative writing with a variety of students. In some cases pupils were selected from their year group because of their enthusiasm for writing, and in others they were brought together with the aim of improving literacy skills.

The Story Architect, working with Fowey Community College (now Fowey River Academy)

The Poetry Point and Mac Dunlop are long term collaborators with the Kernow Education and Arts Partnership (KEAP), and Arts for Health Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and Hall for Cornwall. TPP’s editor Mac Dunlop is able to work in partnership with different organizations to deliver unique poetry and writing workshops that apply to various curriculum themes, and are designed with the participants age group and individual skill sets in mind.

The publication of ‘Road to Automata’ a term long collaboration with Falmouth Art Gallery and Penryn College yr 10’s
